vegetable bird
was temporarily posted to a new place for work.
it was overwhelming!
the place where i work usually has 999999999x less people.
plus there were much more models that i've never seen before.
how was i going to promote something that's so foreign?! :X
i received no orientation training at all. so i've zero product knowledge.
had to wing my way through...and ask the full-timers there for help...
imagine when customers ask a question, i'd have to run to a full-timer, interrupt their convo, get the answer and repeat it to the customers.
sometimes they asked several questions and i had to repeatedly find them.
and since it was my first day there, i don't know where most of the stocks are placed and that's another way to disturb them.
i could only give superficial replies i.e. everyone who has common sense would know.
when i listened to how one of them described the plus points for the product, i was stunned.
it was so much in depth...went into the different advantages for different material.
omg lah i didnt even know what they were made of.
i guess my only excuse is that they are seasoned while i've only been in this line for what, 2 months?
and hence the title :) wonder if non-chinese understands lol.
ohohoh and i saw the hot guy that lives around my area again.
idk if i've mentioned him before...he was waiting for bus right next to me on our previous encounter.
we met at another bus stop today.
i might have seen it wrongly, but i think he smirked at me this time. or was that a smile?

i've been listening to her since umbrella.
ok lah not that long ago. but i knew every1 of her song in the good girl gone bad album.
except question existing cos i found it disgusting and deleted it.
imho, her songs have been becoming dumber and dumber.
there's a lot of repeating lyrics!
e.g.
1) Rihanna - S&M
"Na na na na

the whole chorus is practically repeating 5 lines over again. and the chorus comes out, what, 4 times in a 4 minute song?

empty
it's what i've been feeling inside for quite a while.
the only sms-es i get these days are from my boss asking me if i'm free to work.
obviously i am. all of my friends are busy with school.
yes, we've met up only twice since their holidays are over.
we still chat on msn.
but i really do not wish to see us growing further apart as their workload get heavier.
while their fb are constantly updated with new pics from their orientation, outings with new friends...mine's stagnant since cny.
i do not really dare to call out my other friends since we aren't that close...there's nothing much to chat about either.
this is probably the loneliest period of my life.
idk, when i get lonely, my thoughts would run wild.
i'd imagine my own funeral; wondering who will turn up, who will cry, who will miss me etc.
it's so morbid right :X
p.s. i don't want amazing grace to be played....some dance hits should be played. i'll be dancing with the living LOL. and no, i'm not suicidal.

handyman
i was singing "tian tian ye ye by f.i.r" while drying myself in the shower yesterday...
right after i sang the "how do i live~~~" part, the lights went off.
i was thinking wtf, my voice got that high me.
(it's possible to shatter glass with human voice...read it somewhere before)
anyhoo, i got out of the toilet and went back to my room.
played with my ipod for a while (i freaking dropped it just now and the screen is cracked! FML) and tried to sleep.
but i drank too much water earlier and needed to use the toilet.
i tried to ignore it and sleep cos there's no light.
i dun want to use a toilet without light! i can barely aim accurately when lights are on.
how i wish there was some handyman that knows how to deal with this kind of "manly stuff".
i know nuts about changing light bulb.
it was 4am in the morning (yes, been suffering from insomnia :X) and my dad's asleep.
no one to help me change! :(
when i couldnt stand it any longer, i decided to TRY changing it myself.
so i turned on the living room lights and found out that they were spoilt too!
realised then that there must have been a trip!
my room's electricity was fine.
only the living room/ toilet/ kitchen was affected.
so i decided to do something i've never done before: open that main circuit box thingy.
(i've no idea wat it's called. issit elcb?)
and true enough...there was a switch that pointed down, unlike the rest.
was about to flick it up with my finger when i rmb it's still an electrical main...there might be large currents passing thru and i dun want to die of electrocution.
grabbed the nearest insulator (my hp pouch) i could find and flicked it.
ran to the toilet, turned on the light and was relieved. (pun! LOL)
yes, i dun like doing all these things.
from changing lightbulbs to fixing a trip, i want my future bf to be able to settle :)
i dun wanna touch anything from a toolbox either.
and if possible, he should not be afraid to kill lizards.
(i can handle non-flying cockroaches.)
that way, my hands would not get dirty.
so awesome if there's really someone who can do these things for me hahhahahaha.
actually should be quite easy to get him to do it...just act bimbotic and scream!
to think i almost landed a job as a bicycle promoter.
it would have taken me forever just to learn how to fix the gears.

smokers
had lunch with that new guy at work.
went to the coffeeshop.
he was about to pick a table at the designated smoking area but i tapped his back and pointed to another table where smoking isn't allowed.
him: er...why u dun wan sit there ah?
me: cos that guy smoking mah...
he revealed the stuff he held under his handphone.
there was a cigarette and lighter.
me (embarrassed): oh.
but he still sat with me at the non-smoking area.
when i came back with my food, the table was empty except for my water bottle and his packet of tissue.
i thought that he was ordering his food but when i looked up, i saw him sitting smoking at that the other side.
he saw that i was back and proceeded to buy his food.
after eating, he requested that we move to that area so he can smoke.
i obliged even though i really hate the smell.
it would be really selfish if i refused to budge right?
i've no experience in handling such scenarios before...
all of my friends/schmates (that i talk to) are goody-two-shoes.
none of us are stupid enough to get addicted to smoking and be willing to spend so much on something that's detrimental to our health.
not only that, smokers have stinky breath!
i made out with guys who smoke and oh...CANT STAND!
it smells/tastes really bitter(?) and vile.
such a turn off.
hope that my new classmates detests smoking too :X
dun want to have to smell it all the time.

reminiscence

i grew up in the 90s too (actually half half. i was still a child when in 2000s. *laughs at all of you old ppl* :P)
but i'm guessing this guy's a little older since i'm unfamiliar with some of the things he mentioned.
either that or my memory has been failing since young.
anyway, it's so nostalgic to read about the things you've done when you're younger.
those awesome memories where life's carefree...the only things you've to worry about are spellings and tests.
don't you just want to relive those days?
i shall try and recall some interesting things in my childhood
Television
1) Teletubbies (when i was 5)
My kindergarden friends and I would pretend to be them. I was Tinky Winky cos I've always been the biggest-sized.
It wasn't until my primary school days that we found it childish and started making fun of the song. "Stinky Winky, Lipstick, Laksa, Pao...the telephone bills, the telephone bills...say HELLO!"
2) Cardcaptor Sakura
she has a super cute older brother right? and i loved the cute brown flying thingy.
3) Long Mao (idk and cant find the english name)
cannot remember what the story was about...
there was this little girl and the "long mao" will keep jumping or something?
4) Digimon
kept watching even though i didn't really liked the later seasons where the digimons became more and more ugly as they advanced. not cute anymore!
although i rmb i quite liked the period when the humans and digimons have to combine together to fight...they would show a transition when the human would be stripped and i'd be wondering why they do not show their privates.
5) Pokemon
it used to show on kid's central at 11am on either sat/sun...cant remember.
weekends were my favourite cos there were awesome shows on tv!
i would willingly wake up super early on weekends to wait for the shows, a total different scene from weekdays when i've to be pulled awake.
i loved misty's psyduck!
and team rocket's chant!
6) Captain Planet
one of my favourite cartoons! "earth! fire! wind! water! heart!"
loved the girl who controls wind...cos she has long blonde hair!
i'd watch it everyday before going to school.
it was one of the shows that showed on cartoon network which kept my day occupied.
7) Adam's Family
8) Powerpuff Girls
9) Scooby Doo
10) Cow and Chicken
11) I am weasel
12) Flinestones
13) Tom and Jerry <3 (fav cartoon! watched since i was three or smth)
14) Meteor Garden
kinda out of place right?
but yeah, i watched dramas too.
those channel 8 ones.
but i loved this...can't remember it's showtime.

love this sitcom! they are all genies who has numbers as names! uber funny!
and the preceding sitcom was awesome as well! "Don't worry, be happy".
they aired on saturdays 9pm-9.30pm. i would rush my parents home so i can catch it!
wonder where i can rewatch them :X
17) Charmed
and yep, piper was my fav sister cos she had the coolest power! and holy has superb acting skills...she's able to deliver her lines with the perfect tinge of sarcasm!
i was actually addicted to her hand action and would always pretend to freeze if i drop something.
actually i'd do it sometimes now too :X
i've rewatched it 2 times i think.
phoebe has the lamest power. paige was cool too.
formed our very own "power of three" with empty and other friend. i was the oldest and thus piper!

mixing eraser dust, staples, water and whatnots into a highlighter cap and then taping it.

can find the right angle to make my face looks super slim.
it's speed allows me take multiple shots (to choose the glamest one later) and i dun have to freeze my face for so long!
the only thing i hate about it is the resolution.
wtf y must it be clear enough to capture my blemishes.
pimples + chicken pox scars all can see wtf!
i'm such a zi lian kuang LOL.
but you know, if there are some tricks u can play to look glam in a pic, why not?
nth much you can do to change your looks in real life, so might as well be photogenic and let others who have not met you think you're good looking.
it's especially important to create this illusion on trevvy etc

i initiated a chat with him cos i saw his status on fb saying that he's gonna make valentine's card for someone special.
being the nosey bitch that i am, i wanted to find out if he's crushing on someone in his new school.
when i opened the msn convo, i was elated!
his dp was a photo of us! it was quite an old photo...2 years ago?
so it's quite random that he will dig it up suddenly right?
especially when he just got into a new school and would obviously have tons of new pics to show off.
furthermore, it was just the day before valentine's!
i was going thru the OMG moment...hoping that the "someone" he mentioned was yours truly.
but oh well, i thought too much.
he was making cards for all the guys in his class...cos he thought they would feel sad in case they did not receive anything for valentine's.
so sweet right?

quarrel at work
had my first quarrel at work today!
WOOHOOO!
i was super pissed of cos the customer service person paged me to handle a situation which she could have settled.
actually, the customer asked if she could return the item and i do not know anything about the supermarket's return policy so i directed her to the customer service centre..
and they paged me there and expect me to handle the customer just because she was holding my product.
i was like, "i do not know about your company's return policy and it is something which you could have settled. i have no power to authorise exchange/return...it is the manager's decision. so why did u page me here for?! if you want u should page the manager out and ask him!" (in chinese)
then she still yaya kelapa and "oh cos you would still have to see if the product is in good condition to be exchange wa?!t"
HELLO! the customer was asking about exchange in future and you want me to judge if it is in good condition to be returned?! you expect me to get a premonition???
we quarrelled right there in front of the customer, who in the end left after saying "nvm".
i know this shouldnt happen but she provoked me first. that fat bitch! hope she never slims down.
in the end i just walked off too.
then i saw my manager in the store and told him about what happened.
he was like, "next time just say 15 days in good condition and dun care alr"
but i still cant stand it that they always anyhow page promoters out to do shit they can settle.

i think she complained to that manager oso cos he came to speak with my "upstairs" and told her to tell me not to quarrel in front of customers in future. i wasnt scolded lah.
i dun think the customer complained cos she was nice. so it was that fat bitch lor! she insisted on quarrelling with me still dare to say! plus it's here duty to handle customers' enquiry, not push the job to other people.

kk i've nothing to blog abt too so here goes...

bored on bus
was coming back from work today...
went on the bus and sat towards the window.
hate inconsiderate/ selfish people who do not move in but insists on sitting on the outside especially when the bus is full.
like hello? you only paid for one person's fare so why the hell do u deserve 2 seats.
i'd purposely guai lan them and ask them make space for me to enter and sit.
k part of the reason is cos i hate standing on the bus as my sense of balance is kana sai.
anyhoo, my outer seat was empty as the bus wasn't that packed.
then this cute guy came up and sat beside me.
woohooo.
so throughout the journey, he was playing with his iphone.
was so bored i decided to kaypoh and peeked.
he was playing a game called "scramble" i think.
something like boggle lah.
then i noticed he found the word "gay". LOL
continued spying...he started to make up nonsensical words i think cos he cant think of any.
then i was like, "omg i know! i know! should i help him? would be very weird right?"
but in the end, the busybody side got the better of me and i started helping him find words.
ok lah i only found 2 in the end, cos his dad called and wasted time...
then it was my stop.
so sad right LOL.
but it was so funny!

finally changed playlist
my workplace had been playing cny songs ever since jan i think.
at first, i kinda liked it...like embracing the joyous cny atmosphere.
but then i had to work there consecutively for a week or so, and they had to play the songs on loop!
so it was *king kong kiang* the whole time and i got so sicked of it, i think it ruined my cny this year.
somehow i wasn't all that excited abt cny like the previous years.
i'm a person who gets bored super easily.
and when i'm sick of something, i would just do it half-heartedly.
so i've been late for work and leaving early these few days :X
i know it isn't an excuse, but urgh i need constant change!
another reason is cos there isn't interesting people for me to talk too as well since there's no one my age.
come on anyone needs a temp in sg? LOL
i think i'd be labelled as one of the "job hoppers" in future.
i'd leave if there isn't challenge. unless the pay/ working hours (i.e. allows me to sleep in the morning/ not too strict on me being late) is attractive.
i stepped in my workplace today and with my fingers crossed and felt relieved when i heard love songs instead!
i suddenly had an epiphany.
the only reason why love songs are playing is because valentine's coming.
retail outlets go all out to match the atmosphere with upcoming festivals!
god don't tell me i will get bored of love songs too :X

i was expecting it actually.
wondering which relative would be blunt enough to say it.
and their views would usually be very accurate as they do not see you often.
i.e. you wouldnt notice someone ballooning up if u see him/her everyday.
so yeah...
i got the "wah u grew fatter hor!" this year :X
die alr!
last year was awesome cos everyone was commenting on how i slimmed down.
but idk y, i've been eating more recently.
and the cny season only exacerbates the situation as i've been munching every night!
gotta slim down before school starts!
then can seduce all the hot guys...woohooo!
someone spread anorexia to me :P
oh wait, i hear the ba kwa calling me.

idk, but i really dont understand this performance.
i mean, the dancing skills are there...
the unison and moves quite amazing actually.
they go all out too; none of them are shy to get hyped up and sexy.
but it just ain't right when they do it?

drunk for the first time
k i think i was drunk just now...
mind was....stoning a bit. but still able to handle conversations at dinner.
although i would have been able to sleep very peacefully.
at least now i know i wont get red (too tanned?!), nor will i spout nonsense when i'm drunk.
or maybe i didnt drink enough...but if i downed a few more cups at that point of time,
i wouldnt have been able to sit through dinner.
i actually tried to overcome the drowsy feeling by constantly reminding myself not to give in...
mental power not that strong sia :X
even tried to sting myself awake by drinking curry.
but haix, got better only a short while later...
when i was excited about getting blackjack!
still lost overall though, luck's not with me this year.
right now i can feel a slight headache.
hopefully there wont be hangover tml. :X
