i've been listening to her since umbrella.
ok lah not that long ago. but i knew every1 of her song in the good girl gone bad album.
except question existing cos i found it disgusting and deleted it.


imho, her songs have been becoming dumber and dumber.
there's a lot of repeating lyrics!


e.g.

1) Rihanna - S&M
"Na na na na
Come on, come on, come on
I like it-like it
Come on, come on, come on
I like it-like it
Come on, come on, come on
I like it-like it (Na na na)
Come on, come on, come on
I like it-like it"


the whole chorus is practically repeating 5 lines over again. and the chorus comes out, what, 4 times in a 4 minute song?



2) Rihanna -What's my name
"Ooh na na, what's my name
Ooh na na, what's my name
Ooh na na, what's my name
Ooh na na, what's my name
Ooh na na, what's my name
whats my name, whats my name"

again, but worse. 7 times in a row.




rude boy and only girl are okay...similar lyrics but at least not repeated.
she should title her album "repetition".

ok to be fair, she isn't the only one doing it.
lotsa song nowadays keep having repeated lyrics.
i don't mind if the repetition occurs sparsely throughout the song, but it's kinda irritating if all you are singing the same thing over and over again.

i guess the only advantage is that singers will forget their lyrics less frequently on stage?
