since i'm free to rot at home, i've started cooking my own lunch.
it's a great way to waste time!
from preparing the ingredients to washing the dishes.
not that i like washing though.
i've not much experience and i'm only cooking for myself,
so i couldn't have made something too elaborate.
furthermore, no one cooks in my home (except me) and there's limited condiments to use.
we've only the bare basics: dark/light soy sauce, pepper and salt, sugar, vinegar and sesame oil.
we do not even have fresh garlic nor onions.
so yeah, i went for a little shopping after work yesterday and got myself some minced pork, eggs, pre-chopped onions (yes i'm that lazy) and asparagus.
oh, not to forget oyster sauce. it smells kinda gross.
so yep, i made steamed egg with minced meat and asparagus with minced meat.
LOL.
i spammed the two dishes with garlic.
i absolutely love garlic!
it was in my marinade, and obviously, i started off frying it first.
oh, and i haven't a clue how to marinade meat.
so i just mixed a little of everything.
it mainly consisted of oyster sauce and vinegar LOL.
tasted okay. a tad salty. and i didn't add any salt.
guess i added too much soy sauce.
made another marinade today again.
chicken thigh this time.
plucked off the bone and cut it into pieces.
there was blood. gross.
you know, i wouldn't mind staying at home and cooking for that someone...if he pays me well. LOL.
but obviously, that wouldn't happen cos my cooking's too mediocre.
perhaps i'd improve through the next few weeks.
actually, it would be awesome if it was the other way around.
having someone cook for you is so...romantic?
